My chicks are almost eight weeks old and I'm starting to get that sinking feeling that two of them are cockerels. This would really suck ad i only have three chicks so i would be adding one lone bird to my existing flock since i already have a Roo (unless it's possible to keep two roos with five hens? Probably not i wouldn't want to put the girls through that). I did order sexed chicks but i know that can very unreliable. This is my first time with chicks but I've suspected the two to be cockerels for quite a while now.
I do already have a place where any cockerels can go where they won't be eaten and will be treated well, but I'd obviously prefer for them to be girls.
I just don't know how old they need to be for it to be easier to tell.
