Looks like two marans mixes. The rooster could be a marans x leghorn.

The one with white earlobes is the cockerel. The female is laying the dark brown eggs. She might be a Hatchery-quality Maran....or a Maran cross.

Thank you so much, I originally thought little Manhattie was laying the dark brown eggs and prayed she was a maran mix, but she came from a chicken farm and they said she was just a black sexlink. Regardless, my rainbow basket started off way better than I expected. All my birds are fairly young (8 months) so we're all learning to be chickens together, LOL

She's from the Chicken farm. I'm just happy I'm getting dark brown eggs from somebody!! although the yolks are yellow, but yummy! the light brown eggs have dare orangey yolks and equally yummy!

Here are Brooklyn & Manhattie. Is Brooklyn a Roo? I ask because if the comb and wattle. Secondly could they be the same breed? I got them from a rescue (Brooklyn) and a chicken farm( Manhattie) iridescent black feathers with reddish neck feathers. They may both be laying although idk I have 6 hens, one EE (blue eggs) 2 Golden Laced Wyandotte’s (maybe light medium brown eggs) and 1 Red star sexlink (brown eggs) somebody is laying deep brown eggs though ?

Need some better pics. But Manhattie is definitely male.
