Are they what I think they are?

Lol yeah, I knew they weren't pure Austrolorp when I got them, seeing as some of the chicks were blue

Kinda wish I had gotten more of the blue ones, the one I got (2nd photo) is really pretty.
There is darker red coming in and the feathers closer to his body are dark/shiny, which is what makes me think cockerel. It had me really confused for a while because of how similar his coloring is to a BSL.
Really, the last one looks like a cockerel? I hope not, her half sibling has very similar comb/wattle development, I hope they're not both roos! She (or he, I guess) is the same age as the 1st and 2nd. Well, they're a week older, but... Comparing the 3rd's comb (small and just barely turning pink) to the 1st's (pretty big and turning red) I thought pullet.

Others look like pullets, but I'm not familiar with any of your breeds so don't take my word for it :)
There's not really a breed to be familiar with

; the first two are mutts that might be part Austrolorp and the other is a bantam birchen Cochin x Production RIR
I have two 4 week old chicks that are half-siblings to the last one and I am pretty sure they are both roos already; their combs are bright pink and the size of, if not bigger than, the comb of the last one

If they are indeed both roos, I'm going to keep the one that has a single comb and breed him to something else single combed to see if the same thing happens with super fast growing combs, it would be convenient to be able to tell from week 3.

stephanie1992 - Wow, she does look similar to mine! What worries me most is the darkness of the red. But so far everybody is saying pullet, so maybe he (she) won't be going to freezer camp after all! Here is a (bad) photo of the others so you can see the comb on them. Their combs are both the same size and one of them (the one in front) has a few specks of red around the neck.

i took new pics of mine today for comparison

they have the same parents and hatched the same time. they are 2 months old

ive seen some pullets with there heads to chest covered in deep red color and were still girls

im still saying girl on urs
keep me updated in case im wrong lol

Red around this ones neck showing up more

no red on this one

Also
Differnt sized combs

I've noticed some pointed saddle feathers, so I'm still thinking rooster.
allmychickens - thanks, I think she's cool looking, too, though the orange and blue is weird.
