I just started letting my 6 week old chickens and 5 week old turkeys free range and they were getting picked on by my full grown hens. The fighting wasn't too bad, just your typical pecking and chasing. But I did notice after a few days one of my turkeys had a hurt leg.. now I'm thinking my other turkey is acting a little off. I've decided to isolate them from my full grown hens(none of my 6 week old chickens have had any issues with them) and I wasn't sure where to go from here.
I have this brooder with a run attached. I have about 15 baby chicks/guineas/turkeys all running around the brooder together and they seem happy. Would it be safe to put my 5 week old turkeys in with this group? They are all around two weeks old. The turkeys don't seem aggressive at all and the brooder is large enough that I don't see space/trampling being a problem.
Will the turkeys be alright with the younger group or will they begin to bully the younger group?
