Are we Cornish Rocks? *UPDATE PG 13*

I bought some chicks from TSC 2 weeks ago that were supposed to be BOs. But I have a suspicion they are not.
They seem to be growing faster than my RIRs did, and they are really aggressive.

I put one in with my rirs for just a minute, and it went after my 7 week old roo!

Here are some updated pics, taken today. If these aren't all the same kind of bird I'll be shocked because they all act exactly alike... like PIGS!

Seriously, every one of them come running when I come out with food, even if there is still food in their feeder, then gorge themselves, and then walk about a foot and literally plop their plump bodies down. They're very sweet though.

Oh boy, I thought there was light as it seems they featherd out first then put on their weight. Might have been the lower protein but needless to say you do have 5 broilers.

Are you going to keep one of the hens? I would try to process them if I was you... five nice chicken dinners. It's not as hard as you may think.

I think you meant 4 (I hope!)

I know Bubba is a male, no doubt about that, but which other one do you think is male? Can you point it out... is it the one on the far left in the next to last pic?

I meant four.. hahah... no I think the one in the brooder house looks to be a male. You have bubba and the two females outside and I think what you call pipsqueak to be a male...

Ok, I've been thinking that Pipsqueak is male all along. Wow, he and Bubba are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as growth is concerned. Bubba got big so fast and Pipsqueak, well, his name says it all.

I think I'm going to hang on to the girls and see how they do. My uncle will take the boys off my hands. What he does with them... I don't want to know.

Edited to add... the girls' names are Ethel & Maude, LOL!

I kept one of my smaller cornish cross pullets. She is still alive at 8 months old and lays an egg for me about once a week or so. Still getting around okay, but she probably weighs about 12 lbs.
