Are we Pied India Blues?

Quote:
I had thought about that but I don't think I could disguise the eggs as chickens eggs from the supermarket, they are too big and I think the penalty for knowingly smuggling hatching eggs wouldn't be worth it.
I have told my husband I want 2 years experience with the "cheap" colours and then I would like to import some of the new colours out there as day olds. I would like to make my mistakes on stuff I didn't pay a fortune for. The big hatcheries McMurrays, Ideal, Holderreades etc all ship day olds to bordertowns for import into Canada. You just pay the $65 for the heath papers and drive to the US bordertown post office pick them up and recross the border. I am hoping that some peafowl breeders also offer this service. Do you Deerman?

Irene

Never have, but my flock is NPIP tested for shipping to other States. Could check and see what it would take, if a hatcheries can ,I should be able to.

Have chicks from the bronze in the pics. he is with 4 peahens.

1. white eye split bronze

2. pied split bronze

3. silver pied split bronze

4. blackshoulder split bronze.

Over half of these I know which hen is the mother

Chicks will be bronze split to one of these, also some blues split bronze and one of the patterns

As you can see I am adding bronze to 4 different patterns.

Again all chicks will be bronze or split bronze.

deerman, you can check with Kevin Porter of Porter Turkeys... he got approval this year to ship to Canada and may be able to tell you what all is involved. I think (though could be wrong) that there is more involved than being NPIP.

i like it and it looks like a silver pied we have 1 and it is one year old. how old is he
