herechickchick that chicken in your pic is the absolute cutest chicken I have ever seen!!!

Okay, I know I am full of questions and sound like a moron, but I always thought if they laid colored eggs, they were ameracauna ( or however it is spelled). That is untill I found you people..lol. So Ameracauna are a different breed, and easter eggers are a different breed as well, or a mix of the other two breeds? And I assume I have ee chicks? And the blue ameracaunas she said were so rare are really just little grey chickens?

thanks fowltemptress that really clears it up. A little depressing, since I have been wanting ameraucanas for a long time, but I still love my little mutts. Now I guess the only question is whos a hen and whos a roo. In the mean time I will keep looking for ameraucanas.

WOW!! thanks Sara I found a breeder about 45 minutes away from me! Who knew? LOL. Now I am just waiting to see if he has any for sale right now. He only has one color and I forgot what it is already.. red-something.
