Quackless ducks!! But my Runners an Buffs make up for the quacking

Yeah, all my other 30 ducks do too..lol. But, it’s quieter since I rehomed my little call ducks.

I don’t mind the quacking but I am very thankful we don’t have close neighbors since the geese are starting into hormonal season and my gander with his loud scream could just about break glass. Speaking of geese did you ever locate another for your lone goose?

At my house Tom is the noisiest! Luckily he's not very loud, but that doesn't stop him from his constant chatter!

Tom the drake? My drakes talk constantly but it’s so low volume can you imagine if they did this at the volume of the females?

No. At this point she(?) doesn’t seem to notice because of all the ducks but I definitely want to get her a partner in the spring. It wasn’t the right timing with getting all the other farm animals and building an entire farm from scratch.

I think it’s a girl only because when she makes noise she sounds like those dinosaurs from Jurassic Park! But most of the time she’s quiet, and sooo shy! Chris walks fast to her and asks her if she needs a hug, lol. But she always goes the other way. Since being grown, I’ve only touched her once, and that was in the barn when I was stressed and trying to take control back from crazy ducks! Are these geese normally shy? Everyone who comes is scared she’ll attack, but I assure them that’s a different breed.

Geese or Muscovy? My Muscovy drake is my friendliest my females will eat out of my hand but don’t want to be touched or held just typical ducks.

That’s why my husband likes them...no noise...lol

I plan to get muscovies next, but I think I'll miss the quacking. My ducks shout/quack at me and I find it adorable. Obviously they are incredibly spoiled.

Thankfully my neighbors like the quacking! Especially because I quack right back.
