Well out of 14 eggs put in my Brinsea I have 3 Nankins and 1 Wellsummer that hatched , I am leaving the 3 that havent hatched for a little while longer just in case. I am happy That 4 made it out, hopefully next time my hatch will increase. I love seeing all the other babies hatching here. Joy

I have 11 EE eggs set to hatch next week. Another bator due to arrive shortly and 2 ets of call duck eggs to put in it. Then will be setting another round of EE eggs as soon as the first set is hatched.

candled yesterday have 6 silkie duck eggs going good had to toss 2 that were blood rings. on day 12! almost half way done

Hello fellow Brinsea owners! I just got my new Octogon Advance today and I have one question. I understand that it comes pre set from the factory. I have had it up and running for 2 hours and it says 99.5 but how accurate is that? How do I know if thats correct? I know someone said theirs came preset to low and they found out with a spot check which I dont have. The instructions say NOT to compare my digital temp with any cheap thermometers I may already have. So I am not going to because I will got nuts knowing none of them are matching like I do with my LG.

So...to trust or not to trust the factory settings on my Brinsea advance???
