9 of my serama chicks hatched and most of them had detached air cells from shipping. I'm amazed that so many hatched and I thank everyone who gave me help and advice incubating them.

well as of this morning the pip was still just a pip no other activity so since this was very much like my last attempt at ducks (a disaster) i decided to try and help this one a bit and check to see if it was still alive. so using blunt tipped tweezers i gently chipped away at the pip. the duckling was still alive but hadnt broken through the internal membrane yet (weird i know) so i made a tiny opening where the beak was and remoistened the internal membrane carefully noting the blood vessels wrapped the egg in wet wet wet paper towel leaving a little space for the little one to breath and placed it back into the incubator. hoping it will continue and hatch out on its own now. no other pips on the other 4 eggs in there. i did spray the other eggs with warm water before closing the incubator.

all goes well

I have 4 pips on the campbells since the two yesterday morning. I'm not interfering. What will be, will be. The cayuga eggs arn't doing anything but they are 30% bigger than the Campbells, so I'm guessing they will pip later.

This is my first time hatching ducks so I'm considering it part of the learning curve! Good luck with your hatch Txmel!

Hard to believe it is already the 27th! On Saturday at midnight, Eastern time, the April hatch along will be over!

Bordergurl, I forgot to ask, what was the Brinsea email address that you send your final information from the March hatch along to?
