Are You A Brinsea Owner? - April Hatch Along - Prize: Ecoglow Brooder!

I am very happy with brinsea thats right! The lady on the phone said the same, temp or humidity but the weird part is that is all shows well on the digital hygrometer.. so she said if no changes in 12 hours open the eggs at pointy side and see.
Oh I am not very good with those things like opening eggs but there must be a reason for it, specialy if it's the 3th time! I was very glad that Brinsea has a customer service that's one of the reasons I choose it

@kstaven, you are lucky then, the humidity inside is about 20 % so that's not enough.

BRINSEA DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! Lookie what I have in my bedroom now!

The eggs had a rather rough trip thru the USPS and some of the air cells where questionable. I put them in the cartons for lockdown and hatch to keep them stable. I actually didn't expect any of them to hatch, so I have been pleasantly surprised.

and BluBug, I had them on the cradle for the first 18 days then removed the dividers and took the unit off the cradle for lockdown, I didn't turn them once they were in the carton.

Very cute Jenlynn...how many did you have in your Brinsea?? I just loaded 24 last night...2nd April hatch. I only did 8 last time...will be interesting to see how it goes with 24. Guess you take out a few....let sit for 4 -6 hours and then take out some more. Did you open at all during "pipping' or zipping??

It was FULL! I believe there were like 32 eggs in there...all but 2 hatched! I had set most of them the same day, but that little last group was set 2 days later, so most of them hatched 2 days ago and I hurried up and pulled them out added a wet sock and closed up the lid...then the rest hatched last night and this morning. I had to help a couple of them out because they were sticky and I think it was because I opened it up. I WONT DO THAT AGAIN! I will just save up the eggs and set them all at once.

Thought I would pass this on. It's that time of year again so keep your eyes open when you enter your coop. Yep, snakes are out & very hungry after a cold & very long winter. I was attacked by a copperhead when I went to lock them up last night. Then this morning I found this hanging in the coop. The snake had eaten a fake egg. Not sure if the fake egg killed it or it was the hot wire seen in the window. I do know I'll get my fake egg back.LOL!! Snakes can & will eat many eggs while visiting your coop & they will scare the you know what out of you.

I was removing baby rabbits from their nest box last year and, when I pulled the hair/straw down to reach in the back, I almost put my hand on a HUGE blacksnake that had eaten 3 of my babies and killed another. As a result, I don't stick my hand in nest boxes any more!

We didn't kill the snake - it was just doing it's job - but I'm not looking forward to more of the same this year...

i just put a new set of eggs in my 2 new mini eco incubators yesterday. Since I have 3 incubators with 3 different hatch dates, will I have 3 entries or just combined all in one?
