Are You A Brinsea Owner? - April Hatch Along - Prize: Ecoglow Brooder!

Have one coturnix out. Talk about iddy biddy. Its no bigger than a quarter. I'm not sure how long I can leave her in the bator. Can someone who's hatched these help me out. Thanks!!

They can stay in 12 hours or so. Just make sure you have a quail waterer base or use marbles/rocks in the waterer when you put them in the brooder. They're so tiny that they can drown easily.

Thanks for the response. I've got the brooder ready & yes I have some rocks in the water-er. So far its just the one iddy. Hopefully more will follow. Its gonna be one of those days I'm afraid. I've been dealing with snakes & now the biddy's are coming.

7L, Wow! What kind of snake is that?

I've had so many snake related tragedies around here. I hate to say this, but I always kill them. I once got a black snake that was almost 6' long (I measured it after it was dead.)

Yesterday, I was locking up the coop & a copperhead attacked me & he is now known as a copperhead less. Then this morning a chicken snake had eaten one of my fake eggs needless to say I got my fake egg back. Now the coturnix have decided they want out of their eggs which is a good thing.

Lol, copperhead"less", that's a good one!

Well, I fired up my Brinsea Eco 20, and it's filled with 22 eggs--my "BYC" silkies, Jersey Giants, and 10 Buckeye eggs from a recent BYC auction. (Thank you FaykokoWV!) They are due to hatch April 28.

My R-Com eggs are due to hatch April 24--Easter Sunday Chicks!

So, I've got 2 different Brinseas with some very special eggs. Photos to come soon!

I would like to join.
Bummer I didn't see this thread wih the coupon code sooner, I just ordered my brinsea eco 20 egg incubator a week ago and it arrived on Wednesday ...
I just put the eggs in today, so if I am doing everything right, they ought to hatch April 29th.
