Are You A Melter Or A Burner?

Burner. My son is always looking around for the sacrifice. He says there are so many candles, I am bound to be getting ready to sacrifice something. I use soy candles with a myriad of different scent essences but prefer vanilla or cinnamon.

So yesterday I went in this store that was shutting down and got a tart burner for $5, it came with three tarts, I burned one last night... but I have questions... do you just keep relighting it? Or once it's melted it's done and how do you get the wax out? Freezer? Help!

I am both a melter and a burner. I WAS a die-hard Yankee candle girl until 5 years ago, when I found the Gold Canyon booth at the fair. I haven't purchased another brand of candle since! I love them sooooo much that I finally broke down and became a demonstrator last month. They range in size from 5 oz (which burn 25-30 hours) to 26 oz (which burn 175-200 hours)! And they have tealights and votives.

My favorite scents are mulled harvest, pumpkin pie, autumn walk, sugar cookie, warm apple crisp, and holiday wreath! (Just to name a few! I have MANY!!!)

I was REALLY excited last year when they came out with their warmers and scent pods. (The wax is contained in a plastic "pod" which sits on the warmer, so there is no mess when you change scents. The pods are at their strongest scent for 20 hours, and after that it is personal preference to how long you want to use them.) They also have a timer so you can set them for 4, 8, or 12 hours. I just bought this one for me (with my demonstrator discount of course!

I have a website but I don't know what the rules are for putting that up. If you are interested, PM me.

If you can still smell the scent I would re-lit it. You can take a butter knife and just pot it out once it's solid again. It might be easier to pop out if you cool it in the freezer for a few minutes.

Burn, baby, BURN!

Dearly love candles. Have since I was a little kid and not allowed to 'play' with them. Love being a 'growed up' and playing with them all I want!

Became a PartyLite consultant so I could have easy access to quality candles. I don't do a lot of business, but have a set group of candle addicts I cater to

You should see us getting together to huff candles when the new scents come out

Currently my favorite is to burn a caramel candle and 2 apple candles at the same time. Yummy

I'm a burner. BUT the hubby hates sweet smelling candles, says they are such a tease because they smell good but you can't eat them. Like walking in a kitchen smelling like pie and there is no pie.. So I burn when he's away, but don't do it much when he's around. LOL
