Came home yesterday to a gold laced bantam boy hanging upside down from the feeder. It had been emptied (little pigs) and he had apparently jumped up and landed in the outside portion of it....slid and gotten his leg wedged between the top "barrel" and bottom pan....and was left hanging from the feeder, dangling in midair, by 1 leg!.......for who knows how long. I dismantled it and got him out....he couldn't walk on that leg so I moved him to a brooder in the garage. It did bend and move like normal....hoping it is just strained and sore from him hanging off it for a while. He was walking on it this morning but very gimpy and not bringing it all the way forward

It was one of these

And a 3 month old gold laced bantam cochin cockerel. Talk about a freak accident.
