Are you Peking kidding me?

Yes, we tried to pen them in with it in the beginning. Didn't work. It has never been used for a dog. My chickens used to use it as a nesting box about 2 years ago but it has been cleaned out and empty for nearly a year and a half.
I would smell it and see if a wild critter peed on it it might just not smell right to them or it might not be big enough for them

I have pet chickens who are very tame and used to being held. We did try to socialize the ducks when they were little and did hold them often but not every day. I guess that changed when we let them out on the pond because then we lost any ability to actually catch them and enforce our will (such as being held).
They should be pened at night with the chickens and not let out to your pond till at least 10wks and brought in every night(for future ducklings)there house i would make wider put it on a platform and float it anchor it out in the water take a coffee can fill it with concrete attach it to the middle of the platform and it will keep it out in the water and when you get them in the future if you do give them treats and food from a bucket and shake it while calling them if mine see the yellow bucket they know they are getting something good and start giving them treats at 2wks old

Now I'm even more curious to understand why the female is attacking my chickens... She is the main instigator. The male typically just follows her although he will attempt to bite if the chickens allow themselves to be cornered. He will not go out of his way though... The female, on the other hand, is relentless about chasing them non-stop until they fly up out of her reach or go back inside the chicken yard

Your female is the one that needs to be taught a lesson evidently your drake is not very dominant my drakes put my ducks in check if they get nasty

One of my females is basically the "guard duck" at my house. She chases the chickens if they're out of their pen, and if any other bird lands in my yard she'll charge at it. My other female and the two boys are a lot more chill about other birds being in the yard. I'm not sure what the difference is, might just be a personality thing.

First yes they are pekins and by tail feathers it looks like 1 drake and 1 duck so imo you should have never separated them from the chickens you should have let them stay in the coop at night and let them out to the pond during the day i have mine all in one coop and let the ducks out if they want during the day there is 8ducks in my main coop 6 of which are rescues and got put right in with my flock or you may want to get your drake a few more ducks the 1 may not be enough for him he may need 4or5 ducks to satisfy his needs oh and build them a floating duck house for at night they are really easy and inexpensive to make so they feel safer at night and have somewhere safe to lay eggs
Sorry, off topic. How do you keep those little duck ponds clean?

I just tried to give them some fresh zucchini and watermelon in a pie pan (with water). They won't go anywhere near it... I've been watching them from inside the house for about 5 minutes. They take a wide path around it like it's going to eat them.... 😂 *sigh*
Have you ever tried frozen peas in water? Mine go nuts over it. I can rattle with the frozen pea bag and they come running like a dog for treats. Too funny.
