Are you supposed to tip the person who loads your feed?

Thanks guys, I do not tip and I will not feel bad about it in the future.

God no! Where would it end? Will we have to start tipping the guy who bags the groceries? How about the postman when he delivers the mail. I don't like all the this excess tipping that is practically expected. What ever happened to tipping for service above and beyond? Like in restaurants when they actually add in the tip before they give you the bill? Plus they expect you to tip on the total!!! Your supposed to tip on the sub total(pretax). Why on earth should you tip them on the portion that the government takes??? Ive recently seen a bumper sticker that reads "If you cant afford to tip a minimum of 20%, then don't go out to eat. Its that simple." Maybe there should be a bumper sticker that reads "If you cant provide me with semi decent service, them don't expect any tip, and maybe you need a different job!"

hey the young man who loads my feed at the co-op is darn cute. too bad he's ten years my junior

I go to a small family owned feed store. Glen the only helper there, loads the hay, my feed and gives me a heads up when chicks are coming in, plants, veggies for canning ect. I usally give him 5 bucks each time and 20 bucks at the holidays. Maybe I'm the only one but I know he appreciates it.

I think this is e diff between the city and the country. city folks may be used to tipping but farmers and their businesses sure don,t participate in it. Farmers I know expect honest work and expect their businesses to pay honest wages so tipping isn,t necessary to supplement a worker,s wage. they also expect minions(their own) to assist as needed. In the country it,s more a matter of everyone helps everyone else rather than pay me To Insure Promptness.
