You thought a headless chicken that lived for years was COMMON knowledge???
Brings up a good question, I don’t/haven’t culled. How does a person do that if not chopping the head off?? I hate this conversation btw but I’m sucked in for some bizarre reason.

Thank you. He would not let me call him "Big Red." He has a very high opinion of himself, obviously. But he's very good with the girls and a perfect gentleman, so "Rojo" it is.

Yes! He was quite famous!
You can kill a chicken the way our grandmas did by breaking their neck (there are a couple different methods) or the traffic cone method or even internal decapitation. We have really gone on a morbid bird walk now (pun intended). I have never culled any birds but I intend on learning a good method because I have had birds that would have benefited more from being dispatched than from my best intentions delaying the inevitable

Just slid into this thread and - It's NOT common knowledge??? I thought everyone knew about the headless chicken! 😂 Household story, like a household name! Surely everyone knows about the headless chicken, right!? 🤣
