Are your dogs microchipped?

all my animals are chipped. We have our own reader and do the chips ourselves mainly because the Pygmy goats can be chipped instead of tattooed for show identification. Since we have the chips and at $10 each the horses are done, the dogs, the cat and my big bunny.

Mine were chipped before they left the shelter. As far as I know, all the shelters around here do scan for them and I certainly want some way to prove the dog is mine if they ever do get out.

Ain't that the truth! Arkansas is at least 30 years behind the times when it comes to care for animals. Horses and cattle are treated better than they could hope for; dogs and cats not so much.

Yep, Jax is going to get chipped. It may not help us much should the unthinkable happen and he gets lost, but we do plan to register his chip # with AKC as proof of ownership.

Hate to tell y'all, but chipping is for 2 reasons, one--is the money, two is for a database of info. Animal fanciers, esp for canines, have known this for years. and with roosters being outlawed and limited to one per house, we are going to start seeing the worst anti animal and anti pet laws, not only in CA, but in many states, since nearly 180 laws were proposed just this year. Google 'anti pet laws' if you dont believe me. the public needs to be informed.
