Are your geese done laying for the year?

It is from Walmart it is back in the bird feed isle. Called Porch, patio and deck. It has peanuts, sunflower, safflower, pumpkin, pastcio nuts. I think that is all of them. Then there is another one nut and berry mix but the sunflower seeds have the shells I also feed that one.
Hey...that's a good idea. I am going to do that. I was going to buy some all flock today, but my birds don't fancy the pelleted stuff. Any ideas RURU?

It will be Tues before I can get to Walmart to buy the bird seed RURU has suggested but in the mean time Missy has laid # 57 She is acting as healthy as ever but I know this has to be taking a toll on her body... Please quit Missy.

RG I feed Multi Flock it is pellets but they make them smaller and softer now which is easier on their stomachs. Even my goslings are eating this now. For the winter I have multi flock 300 lbs mixed with 200 lbs of oats. This gives me 15% protein which is what they need for winter.

Miss Lydia I am really worried about Missy. On my girls that died from DH it was laying season and almost to the end and they looked fine acted fine and just dropped dead on me in their pen. Just died in their sleep overnight. This year since I made sure to put the shelled nuts in their feed while laying and when done for a few weeks all are fine.
I hope this works for you Miss Lydia because Missy is really eating up the calcium from her bones laying as many eggs as she has for her first year!
On the bag it says and excellent source of calcium. It is all pure shelled nuts... Then as I said there is the Nut and Berry one I also buy.
Good luck Miss Lydia with the nuts on Missy. I know even the new females I have from other breeders enjoy the nuts too.....
Anyone who trys this good luck I know it has worked for me...

I'll go back and get some. The pelleted food that Tractor Supply has...they hate it. They were out of the crumble when I went and had to buy that. They were not pleased. They like oats as long as they are crimped. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. We have a Nutrena dealer in Mesquite.

As for pics of the goslings, Claude did some on his I phone, but they were too busy playing under the tree in their play area. I will use my Sony cam that has a nice lens on it.
