Are your geese still laying?

Just when I thought the laying season (and my incubating season) might be nearing an end, the girls began laying again.

Are your geese still laying, too? If so, what breed do you have and when do they typically stop for the season?

Mine are Pilgrims and last year, they stopped at the beginning of June. Maybe they'll be overachievers this year! Back to the misting and cooling...

I have at least two that are still laying, they’re smaller eggs with the occasional big one so I suspect it’s one of my two buffs and my Toulouse Friday. I haven’t noticed any of the small small eggs so my tiny Roman Toulouse cross is done for the season.

I have buff/pilgrim mix geese. Just one female, though. I haven't found an egg in over a week, so I think she's done.

Got another today! Just need the ladies to provide enough for a decent-sized (i.e., little risk of a single hatchling) last hatch of the season, and I'll be happy.

This has been an amazing year for growing my gaggle and I've enjoyed it immensely. I hope each of you has had a wonderful goose year so far, too!

I tried incubating for the first time in my life and one of the goslings hatched today! So much in love and so happy

Buff / pilgrim mix. I can't believe how cute it is.
