Arghh, another drop off. In labour? update. help now please!

I was feeling down and emotionally drained today. After reading ALL of this thread, I feel honored to be amongst such nurturing, caring people.

~Oh!~ I'm glad that I'm not closer because I'd take one of your litters to foster in a heartbeat! (And that would probably be the straw that broke me.) I hope that you get help soon!

I also have many drop offs, mostly cats, Have a big orange male, looked for years for an orange female no luck so the newist 6 lb black kitty is preggers, that right after atabby and white mix was dropped of, vet said ws a female, but she grew things and was neutered.

found a beagle, and am waiting for another dog to make it's home here.

They are doing great! I have already found homes for three of the older babies. So when they are ready to go I'll be down to 8. Everyday when I go outside I try to wear blinders. afraid that I might find more! So far I haven't thought, phew!

That's because orange tabby is sex-linked, most of them are males.

I think a female is *possible* but rare, I've seen it discussed online before but I'm not an expert - so anyone correct me.

My sister's cat had kittens and 2 male orange tabbies, I want one coz I love the color and they're so sweet, but uh, DH said no and I'm not gonna even try to convince him. I'd rather have another dog.

I just found your post. I had somethng similar happen to me but it was a dog. I had seen her at the coop when I ws buying chicken food on a Saturday. Almost brought her home then but one of the employees said that somebody already spoke for her. The next day I was on my way to work and stopped at the gas station to gas up and low and behold. there she was. Well I loaded her up and brought her home. It ws apparant she was pregnant and pretty far along at that. I kept her on my porch and exactly a seek later she had 7 puppies. I had a box for her but she insisted she have al 7 on my carpet. We where up all night but all went well. I found homes for them all. I had a very mean pitbull that lived next door and ws loose so I had to take her out on a leash for potty time and keep her away from my dogs as they are female. Didn't want any fights with them either. It wasa very hard thing to do. Keep all the dogs separate and clean up after a mother dog and 7 puppies several times a day.

I felt so sorry for her. I could tell she was begging somebody to help her. I just couldn't say no. She was flea and tick infested and by the time I got her all cleaned up she looked like a sheltie. Very pregnant sheltie.
