Arizona Chickens

Carter's Feed on Whetmore has chicks.

Arizona Feeds on 6th Ave has chicks come every Thursday and Friday throughout the spring. They are very helpful and have a great variety. They even have blue laced red wyandottes coming soon, which I have been looking for for a long time. I think they get standards or Thursdays and bantams on Fridays, or the other way around. But they always have some left from the previous weeks. And if you get any roosters, they will buy them back for $4.

5pinkarrows & CrazyerThanAverage - my little roosters thank you!

That is a dove egg/nest. They are the dumbest birds ever when it comes to nest building! It is a wonder the species survives.

I don't know how you can tell just by looking at the nest! She is sitting on it now.

It would HAVE to be a dove. They really are the dumbest birds ever. If they weren't so prolific there really wouldn't be any.

Hey, I've been doing laundry also.. Additionally I have been out cleaning the yard between loads. The termites were just treated so now I'm going to let the chickens back out, and get back to work out there before it gets hot. Sorry for your migraine, I hate when I get them myself. My daughter has epilepsy so she gets them almost everyday, I don't know how she functions. Yes often feel overloaded, but I just let the things go that are not important to do right now.. All the best to DH in his studies!!

I have two roosters that have been friends since a week old that are best buds to the point where they don't like being out of each other's sight. They play fight but don't do any damage to each other and don't seem like they mean any harm. I've only got three chickens total though.
