I PM'd you.

Howdy from Chino Valley Arizona. I'm the DH and my DW wants a coop as she grew up with chicks. I'm retired military and work at the local VA hospital. Finally returned back to the Prescott area and now have a place with 2.5 acres that we can have all of our animals and don't plan on ever moving again. We have four dogs, four cats, 3 birds (African Grey, Cockatoo, White Capped Pionus), and two horses with one about to deliver a foal in a few weeks.

So I've been lurking for awhile on BYC after a co-worker turned me on to the site. Don't have any chickens yet, but love looking at all the coops. Local feed store is thick with chicks right now, but doubt if I can get a coop done (right) in time for this season. I'll start building soon and will of course post pics.

Well, you don't HAVE TO start your birds in springtime - my first chickens were hatched in October - and plenty of us can spare a pullet or two throughout the year.

Keep us posted, and again, WELCOME!!!
