Arizona Chickens

Isn't it odd how you worry about them right from the start? When I first got mine they were kept in the brooder outside. I put a remote-sensing thermometer in the brooder, which relayed the info to my alarm clock and projected it onto the ceiling. For the first few nights I must have woken up dozens of times to look up and check the temperature.

Wow, where'd you get your remote sense-ing thingie? I love tech, I love chickens. I love coffee. I love soapmaking. With the help of BYC I'm beginning to combine all these things in the most awesome way!

Wow that is quite a set up. I had to resist going to check on htem in hte middl eof the night.

Currently, I am drinking coffee at the computer while my boys are in the kitchen making breakfast for me! I wonder how long this will last...

It was very much like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Oregon-Scient...B0BM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1304874440&sr=8-6

I say was because it died after about 10 years of good service. Thankfully, it died after the chicks were out into the coop. It also did humidity. Even with that thing, I still got up four or five times a night just to check on them. I almost bought a baby monitor at a thrift store so I could hear them.

Sounds like blossom end rot. Causes: uneven watering. I have also heard that if you put crushed eggshell at the bottom of the transplant hole it will help.

we make tamales from fresh corn brought from mexico
then we take off the corn husk and grind the corn
then we add the ingredients mix them up put them
in the corn leaf and then they cook for 90 minutes
they have sugar so they are sweet but not too sweet
