Don't know that vet. Dr Burke at Cornerstone Animal Hospital is GREAT.

I couldn't get in with Dr. Burke and Dr. Driggers was not in, so Dr. Funk was who was recommended to me. I do love Dr. Burke, but I detest the other two vets at Cornerstone who they often punt you to without telling you until you get to your apt, even though you make your apt with Dr. Burke. I've been going to Dr. Burke for probably 18 years or so, back when he was at the office at Superstition Springs. IF the other two guys (mismanaged my pets care, and led to death of one pet, and gross negligence to anther) were not in his practice, I would go there every time. Dr. Driggers is every bit as good as Dr. Burke for birds. Dr. Driggers used to work with Dr. Funk at Mesa Animal Hosp. so that's why we went there, he has been seeing exotics for decades.

Same here I've been going to Dr. Burke forever but will not see the others. I also had a pet die (a rat that we loved dearly) because of one of the other vets. I also caught a bad prescription mistake by the other vet that almost led to another rat death. The last couple of times I needed a chicken/rat vet I saw Dr. Driggers and was happy with him.
Can anyone recommend another vet in the Gilbert/Mesa area as good with dogs and cats (and as reasonably priced) as Dr. Burke? Dr. Driggers only sees exotics.

5pinkarrows: thanks, I'm doing mostly alright.

To all the newbies since I've been gone...

It is our first year with chickens too. We are planning on putting gallon jugs of ice in the run, and putting smaller frozen water bottles in their water in the summer. So far they've done just fine on warmer days. Also they need a secure coop so you don't run into predator problems (coyote, bobcat, owls, hawks etc...). My grandparents lived in Cave Creek when I was little and they had a mountain lion try to kill one of their horses.

They also like to have a shallow tub of water to wade in.
Mine are free range so I alternate watering a different tree every few days so they have wet/moist ground with shade somewhere in the yard every day.

Met with Bob (s Henhouse) and his family today in Wittman. I have the motor for a chicken plucker now

Pastrymama, looks like 5 hatched. Lost a few when the one broody died, lost a few to breakage, overly aggressive moms I guess, lost one that hatched and died. I'll try to get pics if the mom will quit pecking me long enough to allow pictures. Thank you again for the eggs.
