Post candling, only removed these clears:
3 Marans
7 EE's
7 Americaunas

The rest are in various stages of development. I figure I can wait.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my son. He's home. We were very worried about him.

I've decided its time to be an ENABLER. Since I no longer have quail coming out my ears, its time to sell the Sportman and Brooder. I have a Sportman 1202 with 3 incubation racks on turner (fan-forced air) and bottom hatching drawer. I also have a ton of quail egg and chicken egg racks. Extra wicks, newer humidity pan and water tank. Buyer is welcome to any eggs I have on hand.

Browse Brooder with thermostat, galvanized steel on castor wheels, stackable. Food and waterer on sides. Plastic mesh hardware cloth flooring with drip pan. Clean. Excellent condition, however the light bulb ($3.8 5 for 2 pack) is burned out. Easy to replace. Very nice unit.

TX6 incubator - Modified - No turner - Forced Air.

I just don't plan to hatch on a large level. I'm happy with a foam incubator.

I also have a bunch of hens that are laying or soon to be laying that are ready to go and tons of white crested black polish youngster that need new homes. I'm thinning my flock considerably. I think I have exactly what I want...and then some. Lol

NoSkiveez, if you come across anyone who wants 3 roos from your silkies, they can come and get them. They are buff/brown colored. So ugly they are cute. I took a pic of one I'll try to upload if my internet connection is fast enough in a while. I didn't get any girls to hatch/survive out of those eggs.

I'm glad your son is home safe.

Well Meg... my marans roos are NOT getting the job done and apparently neither are the three Ameraucana roos over the 13 hens/pullets. Looking at their backs you'd think the job was getting done. makes me wonder what I need to do now.

So sad. Would love some Marans pullets about the place. I need to take more pics of the Americaunas, they are growing like weeds. No really. They look like weeds. Scraggly as can be and feathering out all over the place. Oh heck. I guess I need another coop.

Mahonri - Are they from your nyd hatch? I pulled a non performing roo out and put the one in that you gave me a few months ago. He sure is good looking. So is the BWA roo.

Meg - Did you say you need another coop???

They sure do add up. I'm thinking of letting some hens free range but I'm worried about my garden. Its the best I've ever had. I'm going to trim some squash off tomorrow for dinner. Oh...and thanks for telling me about soapers choice. I was going to order some oil from AAA Chemical then checked out SC and I can get almost 3 more pounds for a few $ more. I will be placing my order Monday. I'm so excited. My son even wants to make soap too. I'm kinda excited about it. It'll be nice to have an activity him and I can do together. I picked up the scale Thursday too. Much more accurate than the others I had around.

Meg, those eggs are beautiful!!! I am such a sucker for colorful eggs. I really need some hens that lay those dark eggs. My Cuckoo Marans are pretty, but not that dark. We need a couple more Ameraucanas, too. We just finished our 3rd coop. I think there will be some room in one of them soon.... I may have to load up with chicks from all you northern folks when I come up there in July. Do you think my dh will notice if I use the homeschool money to buy more chicks?
