Arizona Chickens

OMG HI EVERYONE!!!

I know I haven't posted here in forever!! Have been so busy with my human kids ... my baby is 5 months old already

Where does the time go??

ANYWAY I am so sorry to do this, but the reason why I came here was because I lost one of my chickababes

It was one of my EE's, I still don't know if it was my pink or green layer (never could tell them apart) but it is a loss either way ...

I didn't think DH would want to replace her but he actually suggested we stick some fertile eggs under our broody Silkie! So I immediately started looking for some rare breeds, because you gotta strike while the iron is hot. I was just about to purchase some wheaten ameraucana AND penedesenca eggs when:

"Honey, oh wait, raising chicks is SUCH a hassle! And what if they don't hatch? Can't we just get a juvenile or a started layer or something?"

And that's when I knew I had to come hit you guys up!!

Anybody have any juvenile/started layers you want to unload? By unload I mean sell. They don't have to be super rare breeds or anything, but I am looking to keep my egg basket colorful.

Please PM me or email me ... otherwise I will keep an eye on the thread

Thanks so much in advance guys!!

I have eggs and a 'pullet/hen' that will be one year old on July 4th.

She was giving me 4-5 green eggs a week, she's down to 3-4 in the heat. Father: BWAmericana X Hen: Black Star.. (this particular Black Star once went 93 days laying an egg everyday without missing a day.... so this Blue colored EE has good genes.

I have another 2 EEs at point of lay but I want to get a few eggs out of them before I sell. One should lay very blue, the other Olive.

Here they are in all their cuteness.

The blue ones have blue feets too. Their wings are a little lighter.

Huh? Huh?

The one that looks the most marans is speckled even to the beak.

Meg,

Did the two blues come out of blue eggs?

If so they are 1/4 polish, 3/4 Blue Wheaten

The marans looking one if female will be an Olive Egger.... 1/2 BWA X 1/2 FBCM!
