that never happened to me before.
 
my favorite chicken passed away this morning she flew from the top of the chicken coop

but flew the wrong direction and fell in the pit-bull cage and the dog destroyed
the chicken it was the ameraucana broody chicken i had bought from a member here
at byc its awful to see the your favorite chickens destroyed in a bunch of pieces
i did not even want to eat breakfast just too sad and heart broken why did the dog
have to eat my favorite chicken its my brothers dog is kept in a fence area in the yard
so he is not able to get any of the animals but the chicken flew the wrong direction
where the dog was its going to be difficult to replace to find another one
it was blue wheaten or wheaten ameraucana really nice chicken

Hello everyone.

It's been a while since I posted last but I came on here to let everyone know I lost 2 chickens in the past month due to heat. The first one was one of the Barred rocks I raised from chicks and the second we just lost today was a brown EE. We just started to try this idea out: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=61883 so hopefully that will help us get throught he rest of the summer. This means we are done to 6 chickens from the 8 we had

. If anyone has any extra laying hens I can purchase or any ideas of other ways to help the rest of the chickens we do have please let me know. This is breaking my heart..
