Wow...am I jealous. I don't have windows that nice in my house. From the picture, I thought you had them in your kitchen or something!

That must be a beautiful setup.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking!

Ugh! Look what I found in the coop tonight...POULTRY TICKS!

The picture isn't great because it's too close up for my camera (plus he was squished). I was so mad when I found them that I started popping all of the ones I could find with needlenose pliers. You can get some pretty good distance on the blood spatter from the real big ones!

I guess that may be gross, but what can I say...it made me feel a little better. Thank you Gallo for your fantastic page on how to deal with them

. I guess I'm off to buy Orange Guard and silicone caulk in the morning. This is SOOO not how I planned on spending tomorrow.

Stupid ticks.

I wasn't aware birds could get ticks. After reading Gallo's tick page, gonna take a roost out and poke around tomorrow. Yes, smashing them is gross.....but exactly what I will do if I find one.

My son Walter, (the one you met) is great at that stuff. Lemme know...

Now please! PM me. If I do thing RIGHT NOW I won't have to worry my head off while I'm gone.

Silly chooks. Every morning when I let the Americaunas and Speckled Sussex juvies out of their pens the Sussex scoot off to forage and the Americaunas go into the sussex cage to eat their food and drink their water...like it was any different than what they have just left. Silly chooks.

I looked out this morning, and it seems one of the birds (maybe more) did not go to bed last night. Thankfully, the dogs were too lazy to eat anyone.
