Arizona Chickens

Nah. I just moved, finally! Would you believe he sued the people who bought our property and the surveyor over a couple of feet? He wanted them to move the entire 1/2 mile fence line!
Oh, and he pulled a gun on the irrigation people when they were checking the irrigation ditch. He was mad because they drove the truck onto the easement rode, which he considered his property.
Geez, I have stop thinking about him. He really was a pyschotic, wasn't he?

Oops - That question was supposed to go to Tracy.

See, I told you I was confused.

I'd like to shoot for end of September. That way, when they get out of the brooder, the weather will be nice.

We'll have to contact ideal & see what's up - they do not have any dates after Sept 7th

Mikey- I noticed that about Ideal. Strange. I might give them a call, since my step Grand-DD wants to buy a chicken to keep here on our order, too. Trying to steer her away from the ultra foo-foo breeds. I think she wants a Japanese, which is OK, except they're straight run.
I lost a Buttercup today.

it was sort of my fault, too. I have rain barrels, which I use for the garden. Remember, I said the buttercups are very inquisitive birds? Well, a couple of them apparently took a dip in the rain barrel. They both got out but one must have aspirated or something. She was next to the water barrel, soaking wet. The other was walking around with wet legs.

I feel bad, I should have covered the barrels with wire or something. I use them so often, I wasn't worried about mosquitoes, but for some reason, I didn't think about chicken suicides.

I'm so sorry about Buttercup. They seem to be like little children - inquisitive & need'n protect'n & all.

I'll make a note to call Ideal, would you want to do a Sept 7th order?

tracydr- There is a lady out here that has hatched out 40 japs. I am not sure if they are mixes or not and she is suppose to give me about half of them....do i need them no...do I want them to get eaten by coyotes no...is my husband going to kill me....yes. Anyway, if you want me to see what she has and let you know I can. I have no idea about them yet, but my husband is coming that way next weekend. just let me know if you want me to find out. I am sure I can give you as many as you want...like maybe 20.

sent off the kiddos to school today. the twin second graders were happy to go back, however, my little boy blue cried all the way to school for his first day of kinder. he said he would miss his mommy

in the meantime, fireman BEHIND ME, called to complain about Mr. Roo this morning. Strike two! come on ladies, start laying again so he can do his thing before chicken is on the menu.
