Whoa, whoa! slow down - the roof is the house roof and is a large section of the aforementioned Honey-dew list.

I still don't even know where the coop is going to live. I figure a few cheepers bopping around here will hasten that decision.

I'm happy with the current lot! 8 juvies and 4 hens, 2 of which are laying. But I WILL start hatching again next month. Emmy is saving up for an Ipod, I'm facilitating.

Oops - That question was supposed to go to Tracy.

Hmmm, our HOA does have a line in there about you can have them, but they can't disrupt the natural skyline. Who knows? It's ginormous too, not like a regular satellite for direct TV or something. It's the size of a desk, but round.

Maybe it's a death ray!

How are your chickies doing? If you put an update up I missed it...or got confused. I need a cute serama fix....I'm still trying to figure out how I can explain how much I *need* some to my DH.....

Unfortunately, FCC says that HOAs & cities cannot regulate normal communication antennas. But do NOT tell him that

Lots of HOAs had those rules; FCC rules override. Just like lots of HOA rules disallow solar panels; Arizona statutes say you have a right to them. Lots of HOA rules disallow street parking for all vehicles; Arizona statutes exempt public service employees who use their public service vehicle as a primary vehicle. Etc. Anyways, for specifics, google FCC rules.

I need to take some new pictures, but here is one I haven't posted yet

I still need to post the picture of all 4 seramas in the same nest box. We took the box away, since the eggs that they were on were not fertile. They're about over it now. Still having a little bit of broody chirping when we walk in, so probably no nest box for a bit longer

I just wanted to say hi to everyone! I'll post pics of the new baby soon, I promise! It was a really rough delivery and it's taking me a while to re-enter the real world, or at least the chicken world!

My dog grabbed my Marans pullet last night, through the gate! I didn't think there was enough room! Luckily my husband was just a few feet away and he yelled at the dog and she let the little girl go. She seems all right but is limping. No visible wounds. I'm hoping it's just a strained muscle.

Pastrymama: so sorry to hear about your neighbor problems. I'm sure you'll be able to sell them. Mahonri's birds are awesome!

I'd like to shoot for end of September. That way, when they get out of the brooder, the weather will be nice.
