pimachickens, mine know the sound of the sliding glass door too!

Sometimes I open it really slowly, just so I can see what they're up to when I'm not around.

And thank you for all the taming advice! So, I won't spook them worse by just reaching in and grabbing them?

I"m headed to the store this morning and will get them some treats too! Besides the meal worms.

That's funny about the glass door. I have one that leads to the back yard, but it's old and there is no opening it quietly!

Mikey~ As far as the assortment of critters, Quail are soon to be added and I also want a tiny goat and horse. lol!

Mr. Roo is doing his thing, although he's pretty clumsy. He fell beak first over the top of one of the marans the other day. Um, not sure that's supposed to happen.

Just waiting on them to lay! I saw one of them in the nest box yesterday........And he seems to have settled down with the crowing.

Yeah pastrymama- I was wondering how the situation had been resolved, meaning I had not heard of a woman killing her annoying, whinning neighbor over a little crowing on the news! that is awesome.

I got them from someone on Craigslist, free. I'll try and get some pics soon. They are in the largest size class as far as I can tell. But we were mainly looking for pets at this time, so were happy with them.

Later I'm going to look for some that would be more of a show quality Serama and see about getting my son and niece's into 4h.

I am down here in marana seeing my lil sis then off to a bday party in oro valley. Are there any feed stores in the area or in tucson that carry manna pro egg maker?
