I hope you find your girl

I had a little MFD that apparently forgot how to get into the coop as she was perched as close as she could be to it without actually being inside on the roost 2 nights in a row. (I think she's a little touched in the head.) She had to settle on the top of the shop-vac both nights until I found her and put her in. Hopefully yours is just holed up for the night.....

Welcome to BYC! I'm out of ratty silkies to give to new members, but I have an old mop head. They are so similar that you won't be able to tell the difference

Take her up on the mop head - she has really nice mop heads!

I have gotten a chuckle as seeing me referred to as "Critter" . That was actually a nic name in High School!

So sorry Miss Critter...

Let's just pretend I was using the generic "guy".

EKC Farms in the desert, welcome to BYC and our AZ thread! Good luck with your move out to New River and your chicken preparations. I can't wait to see how someone with foresight approaches the raising of chickens in the desert.

TT!, You are in rare form tonight. Silkie mop heads... sheesh.

Besides learning lots about Chickens, you'll have some good laughs!
I know I have been tonight! I'm new here myself, and in just the few days I've been here, I can see and say this is a great bunch of people!

Iris is such a bother!!! You know, have to feed and water her every day. Bring her treats and her ice bottles to keep her cool. She is so much work. Then in the evening, she whines by the back door cause she wants to come into the house to sleep in her crate! (I don't spoil them you know) If you take her though, you would have to take Francesca (BLRW) and her sister Amelia (Ameracauna). That would leave me minus 3 pullets. But alas, I think my 3 love it here and I would miss them terribly. But....

I have a broody GLW who has been sitting for 4 weeks on her plastic easter eggs. I want to get her a few chicks to raise. Have to wait until the 3 little ones integrate with the big girls. I just love chicken math. I think they are keepers. You can always come and visit her.
