Maybe put a layer of screening between the house and the coop? Something like metal or fiberglass insect screening? Could do tarp, but that would be kind of unattractive. Or maybe canvas tarp and paint a backdrop on it of the birds running through a meadow of tall gass and wildflowers? With a few hens scratching and finding tasty morsels?

It'll get messy, for sure. If it were me I would put a couple more coats of paint of it previous to construction, and silicone caulk. The idea being to be able to clean it without damaging it, and to be able to move it later without it being obvious afterwards.
