That is really, really sad. I don't understand what is wrong with people. Chickens are so much less annoying then little yappy dogs or a big dog that barks all night long.
I'm so sorry this is happening!

Guess who has a neighbor with little yappy dogs? Guess who only has one neighbor? Sure glad I didn't share THAT little tidbit with Mr. C4.

Well, snotts !!!!(best I could do given the censors): I can't keep up with the AZ thread lately (in WAY over my head with work), and by the time I read everything I have no time to post.
Mclevinson!!! What the frack! I can't believe this has really come to giving up ALL of your birds!

Nice to know there is a fight in the works, or at the least some lingering seeds and leaves in the vicinity that may perpetually annoy said neighbor.

My ultimate response to little yappy dogs at 3 am: hose-em down. I ended up removing the window screen and hooking the hose under the window (after talking to the then-neighbors who claimed they didn't hear it). Yap, yap, yap...POWER BLAST! Ahh, silence

. I figured at least it made me feel better, and hopefully the yappers went in and jumped back on the bed with muddy paws. Otherwise it would continue all night. Eventually they did lock the dogs in at night. I don't know how this helps your chicken situation, but, well, sometimes it is the small things...
Mahonri!!! YOU TOO?!

REALLY!!!??? That super-stinks!!!!

I am sorry you have to deal with this.

Pastyrmama - sorry about your Marans, rotten luck.

Hope Mclevinson's birds learn their new roost soon!

Mikey - glad you are having fun with chicken nipples . Makes me giggle, too!

we used to do that with the Jack Russel that barked all day and all night when we lived in a condo with a backyard the size of our current master bedroom. We just looked up the correct dose for allergies for his approximate weight, put it in cheese and chucked over the fence in the middle of the night if he wouldn't shut up.

Water blast would be great too, as long as they will let the dogs in. In our situation, they NEVER let the poor dog inside, which I'm sure is why he barked all of the time.

Both creative suggestions (but no, thanks for the smiles, but no). It normally doesn't bother me, but this new resentment is simply a function of lack of fairness...his pets are more important than mine? Mine were quieter.

Geese louise, you are a sane, stable, woman!!! I wish you were my neighbor! Wish there were something I could do from down here (let me know if it comes up). Really, I am happy to help however I can.

I do really like the benadryl trick though...

Your a better person than I. In your shoes I'm afraid the neighbor wouldn't be really happy right now. It doesn't have to be C4 ya know...

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge...
