Arizona Chickens

Don't think I haven't thought of it and more evil things. But, they have no personality...there is no lawn. Ugly but clean crushed granite. No bushes, the mandatory one (per the HOA) tree. Not a rock out of place.

However, the street side of the stucco'd block wall is badly in need of paint. HOA responsible. Like the rusting park bench in the play area that needs replacing.

Oh guys, I'm just warming up
They poked a dragon
Bad idea by dumb people

Fighting them on their level is only going to make them fight more, though.
If you are within the rules, just prove it and you'll win your case. If you aren't within their rules there is nothing you can do about it once someone complains.

Maybe a family of coons or skunks?

I doubt it, surrounded by houses upon houses. My dog would pick up on anything wrong going on out back. My suspicion is the teenage crackheads next door jumping the fence; or maybe a community molt in progress.

I'm with you. Meg is way too nice. I'm not a "turn the other cheek kinda guy. I'm more of the "never again!" school of thought.

Meg, don't stop being you!

I am NOT doing a "turn the other cheek". I am going to the board meeting and protesting and arguing and researching my rights. I can find NOTHING in the CC&R's nor the published by-laws which prohibits chickens, nor the number of chickens one may keep. PMG overstepped their bounds and unless someone on the board reins them in I will take further action. Now I have to go see about planting that dead spot in my front yard where grass refuses to grow, as I have received another letter saying that I must both mow and grow better grass. Or be fined on the 15th. They are definitely poking the dragon.

I guess they want you to hop right out and get that super fast growing grass - you know, the kind that is ready to mow in nine days!

Do these HOA people have a clue about the planet they live on?

Yeah, that'll be subtle...

Yeah! A Camel!

And a couple of Alpacas!

And a few Ostriches!

And a pear tree - with a chicken in it! You could dress the chicken up as a partridge and if Bozo neighbor complains, tell him he's infringing on your religious beliefs!

I'd try my hand with the Moringa...Are you sending them out or are we picking them up?

Edited to add: If anyone from Tucson is going up to pick up seeds, please let me know. Much thanks!
