Just a quick question for you Arizonians. I have 2 RIR's that are about 22 weeks old now and look ready to lay (I have 18 chickens, these are my oldest). I know production slows in the summer heat, and I didn't expect them to lay their first egg while it's been so hot. Do you think it's cooling down enough now where they might start thinking about it? Or does it need to be much cooler than this? One was in her nesting box for the first time today... it's getting a little unbearable... I can't wait much longer
