I do hate the smell of neem but if citronella doesn't work I'll pull out the neem guns.
Can you make soap out of chicken fat? I'd love to learn soap making. I also get huge amounts of pork fat with the pork shoulders I feed the dogs. I'm not sure I should feed them all that fat so maybe I will render some of it.

Your HDL is low because the total is low. But, you can increase some of the good fats like olive oil and increase exercise, it should help. I doubt the eggs are making much difference. Way back when I was in nutrition grad school, they pretty much discounted the egg cholesterol to human cholesterol connection.
Our cholesterol is much more influenced by total fat, types of fats, our weight, carb intake and mostly genetics. Our cholesterol intake has little to nothing to do with it. Eat all the shrimp and eggs you want.

Lard, icky as it may seem, makes lovely soap. You can use chicken fat too but since it doesn't add much to the party I'd save if for chicken livers or schmeer. If you have just waaay too much extra available and can't bear to waste it use it as a filler oil for makinglaundry soap.

I can show you soapmaking in a month or so...

Sounds good. Those Cornish that I let get so big had handfuls of fat inside. I thought about saving it but couldn't come up with a use for it. I can't wait to try making soap! I would love to be able to add the essential oils of my choice. I seem to have developed allergies to most soaps. Castille is the best but even that is iffy.

I feel like a kid in a candy store...Canning, soap making, killing and eating chickens...I love it!
