Hey everyone, I posted earlier about the cows. So I guess I got some people confused..

I guess I was wondering if people wanted to go in on a co-op with me for the cows?

I am also looking for a place where there is green pasture that is fenced and has water so that I could bring my cows down to eat some grass. I was hoping to lease or rent per month to use it. Or maybe we could trade or partial trade. Just let me know. I am going to be getting some mini jersey calves her soon and wanted if any body wanted to get in on their own milk for making, yogurt, cheese, kefir, ice cream, and more. The jersey milk that I had was sooooo good I could not get enough of it.

So I want one for me, but wanted to share this opportunity with BYC community... So if interested just let me know. The more people we have the cheaper it will be.

Plus their are some health benefits from where you know where your food comes from. If any one is interested I could also get a mini meat breed as well. Just let me know...

Thnx everyone

Ok, enlighten me. What are cow shares, and why would they be illegal?

Because the dairy farmers association of AZ lobbies big and made selling raw milk illegal. Cow shares too, I thought.

From my understanding it is where more than 2 people go in and split the money to care for a cow and are able to reap the benefits of the raw milk. From what I have heard the reason it's illegal is because of the RAW milk fact. I think its the FDA that says you can get sick & die from consuming raw milk. I don't think that is true at all. My whole family had a LOT of raw milk and had NO side affects but rather the opposite. We were feeling great and energized. Actually when the milk passed through our systems a day or 2 later I Felt like I had no energy. The milk gave me a great energy type of boost and it was soooo good.
Well thats my opinion personally.
