Hi Fuzzybird,
Let me see if I can explain how to quote...

When you see something you want to quote, go to the bottom right corner, you will see where it says "Quote"
Click on that. It will take all that is in the post, and open a new window for you to type what you want.

You will see what you wanted to quote, then just type under it.

Oh thank you!

Mahonri: Congrats on the homepage photo.

Is anyone else participating in the Tour de Coops this year? I did last year, and had a bunch of fun, so I signed up again.

Ihave too many crashbooms with biosecurity to even take the tour--let alone let people in my yard.

Last year I was this [---------------] close to actively protesting it. I've gotten over it.

It does seem like a lot of fun. So how do you typically get rid of your roos? Dinner?

Not sure yet, this will be the first time. I've only got 1 crowing right now at 4 months, then 2 more at just over 3 months old. If these 2 chicks turn out to be roos then just great. I'll probably see if any one wanted any on here then craigslist. I'd like to get into freezer camp for unwanted roos but 1. have no experience 2. Not sure what the neighbors would think( chain link fencing on all sides ) 3. Not sure the rest of the family would ever participate?

I've told them we can't keep hatching eggs and do nothing with the roos.

I know you said you were busy on the 16th but when Sheri at SupUrban Farms http://supurbanfarm.wordpress.com/ holds another poultry processing class, I really suggest it. She and her husband were very friendly and informative. And you were able to get right in there and do any or all of it. I really feel much more comfortable about it now. They're located at Greenfield & Baseline.

Good luck with those girls.

Good luck with your mini dome.

I've never incubated but am interested and may venture out one day.

Bummer about the internet. I could never catch up here if I didn't have it at home.

Wow! I hadn't even thought of biosecurity. I haven't gone before but was thinking of it this year. Maybe I need disposable booties for my shoes.

PQ is pet quality (as compared with exhibition/show or breeder quality. Exactly where the lines are drawn between each varies greatly, especially when one works on projects.

I've been bathing birds and battling asthma round the clock, so haven't really gottten back to anyone on what I have--heck, I'm legbanding the PQ ones, but haven't put together a list of them--probably won't get to that until next week after the fair is over.
