Funny!

How old are your twins? I can do 30 - 40 kids at a time but they have to be at least mid teens.

Why don't you just cook them?

I'm a vegetarian!

Honestly, I shouldn't have a problem with eating them. The entire reason we are vegetarians is because of the factory farming and excess use of antibiotics. These were raised humanely - but chickens don't sound appetizing any more.

Unless there was a way to disguise them in chocolate. I think I could eat anything that was dipped in chocolate. But, what is the point? I'd rather eat something else that was dipped in chocolate. Like more chocolate. Mmm...

Uggg. Chocolate is bad enough...then you start talking about chicken chocolate? Yeeeech!!!

Or you could check with Dr Burke in Gilbert (Cornerstone Animal Hospital, 480-857-9229. 1663 E Ray Rd # 105 Gilbert, AZ 85296). I do not know if he does de-crowing, but he is an excellent vet for my chickens.

Looks like she is ready. Have she squatted for you yet? Seems when mine started squatting, they started to lay 2-3 weeks after that.

I haven't noticed much squatting. She does make little "nests" in the shavings, though. I've caught one of the EE in the nesting box, but not her. Nothing else to do but wait...

I have a Jersey Giant roo (we thought Sophie, turned out to be Joseph) that needs a new home. I can't keep him in my subdivision. He is 5 months old and is trying to figure out how to crow. We bought some eggs from a local breeder and 4 turned out to be roosters. 3 are gone and I have this guy left. Let me know if you are interested. [email protected]. He needs to go soon.

Wow! I went shopping. 55 lbs of Roma tomatoes, 10 lbs of pickling cukes, some asparagus to pickle. Strawberries 50 cents a pound. About 70 lbs of meat, counting a 20 lb turkey. I had to get a second cart and go back through at the Superstition Market. At Safeway, the manager had to override the sales amount because I saved $138 while only spending $179!
I will be a canning maniac tomorrow. I already wrapped the meat in butcher paper and froze it. Might have to go back for more rump roast to make into hamburger at 2.29 and grab another turkey at .52 cents a pound (limited to one with 25 pound purchase).
I can feed turkey to the dogs if we get tired of it.
