Wow Boston. How wonderful. You are living the dream. And, I can't believe that Ameraucana double yolker nor how extremely large Blau has gotten! Dexter is small compared to him.
I also noticed that the speckled Icelandic still seems small. The black one I still have, has gotten bigger and has started giving me pullet bullet eggs.

I'm going to need to get you some more Pure bred Ameraucanas... looks like you only have one pure hen, and you'll need to phase out the Easter eggers or get another "Layer" coop.

Can't get the splash boy to dance with the ladies, but his brother has been frisky with a few of the hens so I may have a few fertile eggs.

Very Cool! - Downright cold even!

I can't wait to have eggs!

We had a hail storm begin right over our home.... while DW was out putting up Christmas lights.

I looked at the radar loop and it seriously started right over our neighborhood and then moved to the NW.

I put a fire in the fireplace and the family room is warming... a little.

Dang cold out there.... 46 degrees and headed DOWN.

tour de Coop - Pictorial summary! - it is 5:55PM
Stop #1 - these guys had Turkeys!
99626_img_3549.jpg

Silly birds are huge! (and tame) - they kept making noises like a pressure relief valve!
99626_img_3550.jpg

And up close - pretty darn ugly! (we learned that their faces change color with their moods)
99626_img_3551.jpg

And their coop... several nesting boxes w/ a hen that wouldn't move even when he cleaned out the boxes
99626_img_3553.jpg

The only pict of the whole gang (4 generations of D's, Tammy & Meg Moringaseed!)
Each house had a large yellow chicken sign marker
Also - look closely @ Dad's white mini van - better pict later
99626_img_3554.jpg

Next stop had a very nice redwood chicken tractor / run that they used - the right side door is open.
99626_img_3555.jpg

A bunch of really nice small features like doors everywhere!
99626_img_3556.jpg

And a nice BBQ island - That was a side bonus of the tour - we got to see nice yard ideas!
99626_img_3557.jpg

Next stop - a very nice coop & run - terra cotta dishes to keep cluckers cool in the summer
99626_img_3559.jpg

And grand baby # whichever got to feed a nice Barred Rock
99626_img_3564.jpg

I don't know when this site is going to bail on post length so see next post! 6:08PM

Here we go again!
Another shot of the same coop with playset and coop under a large well balanced Mesquite tree
99626_img_3561.jpg

And their very nice Back porch - this is still the French Canadian dude's house, very nice guy but I can't remember his name.
Thanks French Canadian Dude and welcome to the USA!

99626_img_3560.jpg

Next stop, probably the most well manicured yard on the stop! And right next to highscrapers.
I should have gotten picts of their raised beds and ultra organized compost bins
Their lawn was PERFECT! (except where a couple of hundred feed trampled it)
99626_img_3565.jpg

Nice little coop and yard setup - they are renting this place and fenced off the communal yard for chickens.
99626_img_3566.jpg

They also had a cute little bin garden with milk crates and what looked like shade cloth
99626_img_3567.jpg

We bumped into Mama Hen Chris adn Chicken a couple of times - she let me stencil her SUV
(She believed me when I told her it was removable!)

99626_img_3568.jpg

And Grandson helping stencil his Great Grandaddy's van
