Maybe that is the trick...

Stop using feed & clean out the fridge!

The easy way for them to get around it is to write the code so that it is based upon actual lot size. That is how Tempe determines the number of livestock are allowed per lot inthe Ag district.

Also, FWIW, unless your HOA has been specifically given jurisdiction to enforce Gilbert zoning ordinances, they do not have authority to do so.

So how do I get the code for my lot changed?

No, I havent tried that, but I will. The vet said if it is internal laying, it might resolve on its own. Ascities would be due a heart problem. How do you feed a "probiotic solution"? And how much cider vinegar in the water? She eats and drinks just like normal. And what does oregano oil do? Thanks in advance!

Oregano oil will due a lot of things if it's pure, or so my wife and her friends say. They just about live by those oils. It's been said that even cancer cells can't survive around oregano but what do I know?

My hens freak out and head for cover when the police helicopter flies over. The darn thing flies by about ten times a day. They never learn.

Rufus

What is with that helicopter? I think they must think we're growing something here, they do flybys every night around 10-11pm for probably 20 minutes. My husband thought I was just being paranoid. I actually started putting it on the calender and clocking it. He finally believed me. They make a circle right around our neighborhood, I feel like they're circling my yard!

We also could use the ghetto bird as a clock. It would circle every night at 9 and 11 and of coarse the multiple times there are problems. We just figured they were predicting something was going to happen at the park or the apts and were right most of the time. Back when we could get the police calls on the scanner we would just sit outside and watch all the emergency people rush up and down the streets to all the various calls. Cheap entertainment I know but hey I'm CHEAP!

I live SW of Falcon Field so the ghetto bird flight path is over my house as it heads to downtown/west Mesa. Oh, and we have the usual 3X a day circling at Frys on Greenfield and Main. During the winter the snowbirds cause about 3 wrecks a day there, 5-6 wrecks if it's senior discount day.

Soon, grasshopper. Patience. I have neglected things that I need to tend to and must catch up. And I have a heck of a time loading photos--I need to take a class.

Verbal preview:

I took apart my old two foam incubators. In the MegaBator (new name, no need to whine now) I installed a fan and a heater on top, and a fan and a heater on bottom. The middle has an egg turner (41 eggs) and I have several other shelves available each will hold more than the egg turner. I have three thermometers (one of which is wireless so I can check it all around the house) and one of these three thermometers is a probe connected to a reptile temperature regulator which in turn is connected to both heat sources.

Can you say "redundancy"? C'mon, say it with me. "BACK-UP-PLAN". That's right.

I am currently obsessing about the humidity and lighting, neither which is a problem. I am just a fussbudget.

I'm going to go clean up now. Phew.

FINALLY! After almost 25 weeks of freeloading one of my girls rewarded me with this beautiful blue-green egg! I was out feeding them and one of my EEs pecks my hand and runs under the coop clucking loudly as if to say 'look what I did!' Now if the other 15 would catch on.

ETA: sorry about the giant pic, first time I've posted one I will be sure to resize smaller in the future

Oh no, the count is up to 4 buttercups and 1 bw ameraucana. The bw is such a pretty girl, it breaks my heart. Stupid rat birds. I've never had to cull like this before, but if I do nothing, this could take out my whole flock.

Edited because it is now 3 bw ameraucanas, 4 buttercups. All gone. I have lost a third of my flock in 30 minutes.
Meg, I lost lovey and fluffyface. I have cried so many tears today I may have covered both of us.
