Gosh its slow today! I am almost lonely. Not to many people saw my turkey pictures yet.

Now for a AWWWW moment! My sweet Blue Bell gives her new friends a ride! Blue Bell met her new companions to day even tho they can't stay with her yet. I bent down to show her the baby and the little thing jumped on her back. I had to HAVE that picture so gave the chick to DH and went running for my camera! Then I let the other chick join them. I think the white palm is a male [I hope] and named him Gabriel and the Bourbon Red a female [ I hope] Goldy.

Too darn cute!

Silly questions but are they turkey chicks as well?

That is so sweet. They know who the Mama is!! Blue Bell doesn't seem to mind at all.

Yes they are turkey chicks! Turkeys are just so friendly! Of course I do handle them a lot just like I did Bluebell.

They are beautiful !! I was finally able to get a hold of some turkey eggs. Only 4 but I'm setting them tomorrow so hopefully will have some beautiful babies like these in another 4 weeks!!!

so one of the spitz seems to have a balance problem. I have found her 2 days straight laying upside down with her head twisted sideways, unable to get up.

Yesterday I picked her up and set her upright and all was well. Today all was not well.

She was definitely panting heavily - got her some ice water which she drank and slowly seemed to come out of it.

Went back out a few minutes ago and there she is flopped over again. Picked her up and she stumbles around and seems out of balance / dizzy.

Any ideas?

sounds like mareks....sorry. I have heard that hypercum helps. I think it is also called st. johns wart. trying doing a search on it. you are not having any luck that is for sure.
