Arizona Chickens

I hate it, but I've done so many Easter Hatches, I don't even remember now!
wow...after only a month or so,
i just discovered one could use the "quote" button/tab ..how c-o-n-v-e-n-i-e-n-t. (-;
I am impressed that you've done that many...I'm a real newbie at incubation still...sure it won't be long before I can't remember the minute details. I will need to temper my enthusiasm and obsession with it by May.2 reasons and both begin with "H's"... 1) Heat 2) Husband

That's interesting, I did not know that sugars and aspirin lower the pH of the soil. I know that molasses and other sugars are used in aquaculture to reduce pH through the addition of carbon that promotes the uptake of nitrogen by nitrifying bacteria. But directly reducing pH is new to me. That would explain why addition of sugars or aspirin would help plants, especially with the high pH of our soil and water. Lowering the pH would allow the plants to more easily uptake essential nutrients.

Pastry

Slit my skin open on my hand about 1/4 inch on the airplane cake pan. Taped it back together and all I had was vet wrap to cover the tape. Good think I have an emergency chicken kit.
