[Sonoran Silkies]

Question for you Silkie fans...How high up and down do Silkies jump and fly safely? Partridge has jumped out the coop door the last two days. I think it's about three feet high, but she seems just fine. I wasn't home when she did it, so I haven't seen it happen. I just want to make sure she'll be ok. I think she's about fourteen weeks.

My third silkie regularly roosted atop a 4' wire fence. I have silkies that roost higher than some of my "regular" breeds. And some that pile on the floor. It's okay to be nervous and baby them; after all, we do it to our kids, too...the human ones...

I'm new to chickens, I was very interested when I read about it here on this thread. My girls love it. I am using less feed.

He died of natural causes in his home... They'll do the autopsy today or Monday.

My family sends their deepest sympathies! There is never a good age for someone to die, but he was definitely too young to go. I pray it was a calm and peaceful passing. God bring you all peace and comfort.
