Arizona Chickens

but I do not have air and am afraid its too hot to make him travel, what do you think? I talked to my feed stores (3 of them) apparently not so uncommon for people to find quail. they said I have done everything right and I will grind his food down so i make sure he is eating and add bugs and mealworms. I might find some quail in phx to bring home tomorrow night. better to bring them at night in the cool than during the heat of the day.

It will all work out.. I am sure you will find some or put a sign up at the feed stores that you need siblings for the little guy..

See I made him a little safe house. He is so tiny!!! Crap this means I will now have quail.

I have my first broody hen. Eleanor decided not to come out of the nest box last night. She's now in the wire cage up on 2x4s in the garage. Hopefully it makes her uncomfortable enough that she stops this nonsense.

Unfortunately, about 8 years ago, I sold my house in Diamond Bell Ranch, and bought a mobile home in Marana, about 40 miles closer to work. With the downsizing, I had to sell more than half my rifles. I once had one of the finest Mauser collections in the state, but when the sell off happened, it was some of the finest examples that went first. I believe some of the finest Mausers made were the pre-WW1 South American models. I still have some left that are pretty rare editions, but I wish I had the room so I didn't have to sell so many.

This is my gun room/laundry room.
Wow, you must have a wicked predator problem in your area

my son found a little quail in the chicken coop this am. the parents were gone and it is newly hatched. I brought it in and made it a little covey with dirt, pine shavings, some tree limbs some hay in the little house i put in and a lid with water and a lid with fermented chick starter. anyone have any idea what else i need to do? do is need friends? I will get pics later.
any info is appreciated.
I have had 3 little quail left behind in our yard. I found a bird sanctuary in Scottsdale that will raise up the quail. I brought them over there and do not know the rest of the story.
