Arizona Chickens

I think the forum is having issues today. Try again tomorrow and see if the problem has resolved.

But... I wanted to post pictures today (stomping feet)...

I have lost my Avitar? Is it coming up on the thread on your device? I know ticked other Avatars and pic are also missing. Is it me or the program in this forum? If it is they need to be notified.

Ok, others are having problems too. It is the program. How long before the can fix it? The question that will not be answered.

I miss grass too. But I do not miss having to mow it 2x weekly, weed it, feed it, and listen to the neighbors do the same and above all I do not miss 9 months of 36 degree weather constant pouring rain and 30mph winds for 9 months out of the year. lol

You all should have moved up north to my area - lots of grass and trees and, oh yes, cooler temperatures.

I will probably be visiting your area at some point in my travels. I have an agenda:
1}. look for a location I wish to move to that frites my criteria:
a] Farming, b] social {good people that believe in interdependence with each other as a community}, c] fishing & hunting , d] short mild winters
2}. Learn of wild natural foods, how to_____
3}. Learn bee keeping (I have had bees but need to learn more)
4}. Learn about cattle, goats and horses (husbentry).
5}. Learn not to worry, relax, and live in the day
Sub agenda -- lower cost of living.

I am making my way farther up there little by little. Hubby just got a job in cottonwood/clarkdale area. We are now looking for our next place and prepping our current one for future sale. Am looking forward to greener surroundings, smaller city & cooler weather even if it's not as cool as you have.

I loved living in the Cottonwood/Clarkdale area. The people are great.

Good morning everyone,
For some reason my smart phone will not download the photos's on BYC? Anyone?
I did go into my setting, preference's.. Not sure..

Also, yesterday morning there was 2 woodpeckers digging in our backyard.. It was cool to see them so close.. They saw me watching them.. It was grey with a spotted chest..

Oh wow!

hope all is well there.. That photo is a good one to enter into the BYC 2014 calendar..

Oh, yeah. All is good here. It was pretty much back to normal by yesterday afternoon. Totally changed the structure of our creek and dumped several 300-400 pound boulders in our creek crossing, so we had to pull those out before we could drive through there. But, that's par for the course during monsoon season. ;-)

These Dang Chickens will not stay out of the house. They keep coming through the Doggy Door when I'm gone. The same 2. Both of my Delawares. Jerks poop right inside the door. Yesterday I came home and they were both cuddled up on the couch on my fresh laundry. 1 if them has even learned to go back out of the Doggy Door when I shoo her.
