mmm sounds great. I will let you know by wed if we are coming up. I am picking up another Goat...lol, this brings me to 10 :) kidding season should be fun. If anyone will be looking for mini goats I will have mini Nubian, Mini La Mancha, Nigerian and hopefully full sized Nubians too. My Sons Alpacas should be here this week too. This spring should be sooo much fun and full of babies. Oh yeah and I get my incubator this weekend. Its an older style sportsman. I cannot wait to get it going and hatch some babies!!!!

?????? We, AZ BYC IS NOT A CLOSED GROUP. WE WELCOME CALL NEW MEMBERS. You must have made a typo.

I welcome you. I spent years reading and learning about goats, still do not have goats, but it have chickens. Even if I had given up my 2 girls on this trip I would not give up BYC. I WILL HAVE A SMALL FLOCK AGAIN.

Bonnie I was referring to the facebook group that @a little chiken mentioned. Some facebook groups are open meaning all your friends can see what you post, and some are closed which keeps conversations private. I wasn't asking if the BYC group was open or closed.

the Pratt's in Glendale May have some. They collect the eggs, but they are not up for sall. They are in a drawer at the counter. Ask them (call before you go) if they have any. They may not have any coturmix eggs. They do not separate the quail and pove eggs. I got a pint of them for $2.00, price we agreed on. Fertility unknown, age unknown, but they probably keep like unwashed chicken eggs, so they will still be good. I hatched mine, I had 80% hatch out! a mixed lot. I gave them to a quail lady.
Oh Thanks. I am familiar with Pratt's. That's where I get my frozen feeder mice. I'll be sure to ask them about their eggs next time. Maybe I'll get lucky.

My first egg. I wasn't here to witness so I don't know who layed it but my wife heard the song. At 6:30pm this evening. ??? That's not common right? Figured it might be my new BR laying her first since I got her. Whoever it was made it to the door of the nesting box but not in. Should I put the egg in one of the boxes for them to see?

Still need to clean it but will look hat up in a bit. I'm too eggcited right now. My wife (never been into the chickens) was very eggcited. Texting me and happy for her.

Also they have matching outfits.

Very cool! Congratulations on the egg!

Show girls?? they are sooo cute. I might be interested in eggs when you get them set up and going. I am in Tuson.
Can I ask who has quail eggs and what kind here in Tucson? I need to get some from Sill but still debating the quail situation.

I do have hens with spurs....it so ruined my thoughts of how to tell my hens and roos when young...lol but I found out leg size and an even bigger roll than comb size in my opinion.
If you need quail eggs just let me know.

getting out of control here

Needs her fluids checked and topped off.

Looks like they are ready to supervise any in home activities. Good that you are house breaking them.

How do we feed Blue Sky feed to chickens since it's not crumbles or pellets?

.... To me it looks like partially ground up flour! !

& do I have to mix it up with water? ?
I free feed it dry and also make fermented feed from it. They like both. Mine have been eating it since they have been chicks so they don't know any different.
