Arizona Chickens

Are you reading the Louisiana thread? That's funny. :lau I just love Sharkie, and I go to "Texasgirl1979" all the time. Sharkie I think is 6 or 7 yrs now. There are video's go back to when they were baby chicks. He has cats, hamsters and who knows what as play mates.
THEY THINK HE IS THERE MOMA HEN
[VIDEO]

Camo the chick killer when he was a pup now let's the chicks on his back. I bet their nails dog in. Ouch.

Thanks for all the well wished moving. It is a million degrees and since surgery, I can't handle the heat anymore which they said could happen. I take a lot of breaks but I work hard in between them. I will take some pics of where I live now, the chickens I've kinda inherited and the dogs I tend as soon as the sun goes down.

I have a few questions though if someone could help. There's a chicken here that the owner calls "the feral" that she says just showed up one day. Yesterday she had like 4 eggs under her as well as 4 fake ones that she threw in. She doesn't let the others use the nesting box so they just lay wherever. Should I break her of her bloodiness or?

Also she bought roo's to raise as dog food and there are like 9 of them of various breeds in another area. I need the out building they're in and I'm wondering when she should cull? They're not with the hens because they were a using them I guess. There are a couple Dark Brahma, a BR, a NN and some others I don't know but will post pics of later when it's not so bright.

Can't wait to start this chapter and looking forward to learning more about my little dinosaurettes.

I would leave her.. However she could be a certain breed that goes broody more often.. Like our Cheryl this is the 4th time this year. Your landlord might want extra baby's to replace her older ones..how long has she been on the eggs?

Look what I found behind a local store. :) I am going to try and make something for the chickens out of it.

Compost bin or raised garden bed.. Add some wire on the interior and plant strawberries on the sides for a pretty green color..

Riding season is going to be here soon! Get your mountain bikes ready.. We will be riding at night on the green belt from Tempe to scottsdale . Or road bikes for the green belt, sometimes we go off road.. Let us know if ya all can come..

No idea about her chickens yet really. Been moving too much to worry with them. A few of them look a little rough and most likely need to go through a molt to grow some more feathers. I'll find out how old they are and maybe do some hatching of my own since I inherited the use of the owners incubator and I have the broody.

Awesome let us know.. We might have extra parts.. I use a old BMX bike for the dogs..my feet can touch the ground if I need to jump off for some reason.. Also, old school with the back pedal as the break. They never go in front of me even when I walk them.. It as been to hot.. I miss running them on the bike.. Good times..
